"I really want you to get along with this friend of mine." Salacia's Lithuanian cousin said to her.

"I'll try my best…but it's not my fault, most people don't like my attitude…they think that I'm a diva just because I'm proud of who I am." She said as she searched through the various boxes of hair color in the store.

"I get you, but I'm not sure he will…well, he might get you, but…not like it…you know?" he asked nervously.

"Don't worry, I'll keep on my best behavior at this party, okay?" she asked smiling at him reassuringly.

"Okay, b…but he's only part of the issue…a lot of the people there are very…un…unusual…" he stammered.

"Toris, you should know that I can force myself to get along with people when I have to…I work in retail you know…" she laughed, "So I'll be nice with the initial meet, then if I don't like them I'll keep my distance so I don't say anything to upset them…and in turn get them upset at you."

"You would really pull out your retail face for me?" he asked with his eyes shimmering in shock and slight admiration.

"Of course, you're my cousin, Aš tave myliu." She told him with a grin.

"You learn languages faster than anyone I know." Toris told her with a shake of his head.

"I have an aptitude for them, I can't help that." She laughed then grabbed a box, "Strawberry Punch…hmm, what do you think about this one?"

She held the box of hair dye up showing it to her cousin. He looked at her with a surprised expression, as if to ask, 'really?' She nodded and waited patiently for his response. He thought for a moment.

"I really, don't know…" he told her honestly, "It's not like the colors you usually choose."

"That's why I think it's a good choice, a girl can only go with blues and blue-greens for so long before you get bored…" she said.

"Then go with it, if it's what you want do it." Her cousin told her sincerely.

"You are the most supportive person in the world." She said and hugged him tightly.

"Th…thanks Sal." He said and hugged her back.

Salacia put the color in her bag and thought for a moment, "I'm going to dye my bangs a different color." She declared.

"What color?" her cousin asked.

"I'm thinking of just bleaching it." She admitted, "Like whip cream on gelatin."

She and her cousin laughed while she grabbed some more bleach for her hair. She looked into her cousin's green eyes with her shining grey ones and smiled at him. She smiled at him and asked him a few questions about this party he was throwing, mainly, how many people were going to be there and what kind of music would be playing.

"Hey, Tor, can I bring a friend with me?" she asked him suddenly after receiving a text.

"Huh?" he asked her surprised.

"Well, I just got a message from my pal KJ and he's gonna be in town this weekend and wanted to get together on the night of your party and I don't wanna miss the fun but I also don't wanna ditch him…" she said with a sigh.

"That's fine…he's the…the…what was it again?" Toris asked.

"The showgirl, from Las Vegas, he…er she…is a transvestite." She told him.

"Okay." He said, "This might be interesting."

"Do I detect a hint of mischievousness in that voice of yours Toris?" she asked smirking as they got into the check-out line.

"Maybe…is KJ going to come as Kiki…that was the femme name right?" he asked.

"Yes, and most likely he will, yes, why?" Salacia asked, getting where he was going.

"I'm just thinking that it might be funny to see just how many of the guys there are fooled." He said.

"Damn, I have corrupted you!" Salacia jokingly exclaimed as if in horror.

"So what do you think?" he asked her.

"Totally." She said and paid for her new look.

"Well, you wanna grab some lunch or are you going to have to head off?" she asked him.

"Unfortunately, I have to head off, there's a lot that I need to get done." He told her, "S…s…sorry…"

"It's fine, don't worry about it, I should probably get my hair don't as soon as I can, so that it will look more natural by the night of the bash." She said with a smile.

"Okay, see you then." He called as she strolled away with a song in her mind.

---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

"Whenever I'm dressed cool
My parents put up a fight
(Uh huh, uh huh)
And if I'm hot shot
Mom will cut my hair at night
(Uh huh, uh huh)"

Salacia smeared the foul smelling goop onto her hair with a smile as she sang along to her new favorite song, Hair by Lady Gaga.

"And in the morning
I'm short of my identity
(Uh huh, uh huh)
I scream Mom and Dad
Why can't I be who I wanna be?
(Uh huh, uh huh)"

She sat with a magazine reading through her emails and thought about what she and KJ should wear. Should they match? Or should they just do what they wanted? Should they be complete opposites on purpose? Or should they just go "Gaga"?

"I just wanna be myself
And I want you to love me, for who I am
I just wanna be myself
And I want you to know, I am my hair"

Salacia rinsed her hair out in the shower with a smile as she saw the excess color sliding down her arms with the water. It was the brightest shade of magenta, perfect. She wrapped her hair in a towel and danced through her room in her robe, following the true choreography.

"I've had enough, this is my prayer
That I'll die living just as free as my hair
I've had enough, this is my prayer
That I'll die living just as free as my hair
I've had enough, I'm not a freak
I'm just here trying to stay cool on the streets
I've had enough, enough, enough
And this is my prayer, I swear
I'm as free as my hair
I'm as free as my hair
I am my hair, I am my hair"

She fell back on her bed and picked up her cell phone and dialed her old friend.

----- ---- ----- ----- ---- -----

"So, like, Liet, what's your cousin like?"  Asked a man with chin length blond hair as he looked at his reflection in the mirror, as if trying to make up his mind on something.

"She's very, um, unikalus…" Toris said.

"Unique huh?" the other asked, "How so?"

"Well, she's got an attitude…a severe attitude…but can cover it up…like you
wouldn't believe…and she's just so different than any person I've met." The brunette
admitted.

"Hmm…interesting…" the blond replied, "So do you think I should put a streak of color into my hair?"

"If you want to, maybe pink?" Toris asked.

"How about this color?" his friend asked holding up a box of color.

"Strawberry Punch…sounds like something you would like, Feliks." Toris told him.

"So what does she look like?" Feliks asked his best friend.

"Well, she's dying her hair pink and white, for the party and her eyes are the color of silver coins…which suits her." He explained.

"Sounds interesting."  The blonde said, "I'm thinking of wearing the purple skirt with a black or silver top, what do you think?"

Toris thought for a moment, between his cousin and his friend, he was becoming quite the fashion expert. He nodded and said he thought that it would look good. Feliks grinned.

"I knew you'd love it!" he exclaimed.

Toris grinned, thinking that maybe his cousin and Feliks would get along.

---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Salacia slid her body into the shimmering cobalt, black, violet and silver striped dress and smiled at herself. The asymmetrical sleeves with none on the left side and a shimmering sheer black sleeve that slid down to her wrist where it became looser like a bo-ho cuff.  She smiled at herself and put on a leather wrist cuff onto her left wrist. She slid her fingers through her hair and loosened her curls before pulling her hair up into a tight bun before pulling a few magenta strands out for a looser look.

She walked out and put on a pair of fashionable black leather ankle boots and smiled as she examined herself once more loving how this dress hit her just above the knee. She smoothed her hands down her frame and said to herself, 'KJ is gonna have kittens when he sees this!'

She put on her deep red lipstick and left her house, silver evening bag in hand and called her friend to tell him to be ready when she got to his hotel.

"Yo KJ, you ready yet?" she asked as he answered.

"Just about, just getting my eyelashes on." He said.

"Cool, I'm gonna be there in twenty so be in the lobby, look for the crazy bitch with the pink hair." She told him and hung up.

----- ----- ----- ----- -----

Walking into the hotel lobby Salacia spotted her old pal almost instantly, he had his strawberry blond hair in a high, ponytail his ringlets swirling around like a ginger waterfall. His pale blue eyes that always held a tint of green searched the room. He was wearing a light golden skirt that flowed down to his mid-calf and his silver stilettos clicked as he walked. His silver and gold striped halter top shimmered in the light. He had white gold hoops in his ears and light red lips. Soon their eyes connected and Sal strolled over to him.

She hugged and kissed both his cheeks in a European way and he did the same.

"I missed your fine ass KJ." She said hugging him tightly.

"I missed your hot self too, baby." He said.

"Why must you just bring the diva out in me?" Salacia asked him giggling.

"Maybe because I am a diva." He said.

"Honey you DeeVyne!" she told him and laughed, "Now come one, we can't keep our public waiting."

---- ---- ---- ---- ----- -----

Walking into her cousin's now music filled house Salacia felt the rush that she usually felt when she would go out to a club with the guy next to her. How could anyone have convinced Toris to have a party like this?

Salacia slid her arm into KJs as Toris came over to them and she hugged him.

"Wow…um…just wow…" was all she could say.

"I know, complete opposite of me right?" he asked.

"Yeah, not that it's bad it's just…so different than you." She said, "Oh and this is my pal Kiki, KJ obviously you know that."

"Yeah, so are you ready to be thrown into a few introductions, I just can't seem to find Feliks anywhere, I wanted you to meet him first, but what can you do?" he said.

"Alright, parade me around." She laughed.

---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Salacia leaned against the bar and tried to catch her breath after being hit on by three guys at once…in very perverse ways, some of the things they said were so graphic that if they had said them in English she would have been the only one to smack them. They were just surprised that she knew what they had said. She sighed and ordered a strawberry daiquiri…at the same time a chick next to her did.

She smiled at her and she grinned back, her sparkly black knee length flowing skirt shining as her pale pink top glimmered thanks to the black glitter it was coated in. Her blond chin length hair had a single streak of blond on the right side of her face. They both got their drinks. Salacia found herself hoping that this chick was bisexual if not lesbian.

"I'm Salacia." She greeted.

"Delta." The girl introduced herself as.

Salacia smiled and took a sip, noting how strong it was, she wasn't going to drink much, but after being nearly assaulted by a German, a Frenchman and a Spaniard at the same time.

"I saw you over there with the Bad Touch Trio," Delta told her, "You must be smart, most girls get charmed by at least one of them."

"Probably because they don't get what their saying." She responded.

The two chatted for a while each finishing their drinks as a song came one.

"Oh my god I love this song!" both of them cried.

"Care to dance?" Delta asked her.

"I thought you'd never ask." Salacia laughed.

The two went onto the dance floor and began to sing along as they began to move.

"I've had a little bit too much – much oh, oh whoa!
All of the people start to rush, start to rush by
How does she twist the dance?
Can't find my drink, or man
Where are my keys, I lost my phone
What's going on out on the floor?
I love this record baby, but I can't see straight anymore
Keep it cool, what's the name of this club?
I can't remember, but it's alright, alright."

Salacia swirled her hips around as Delta followed her movements perfectly. They were moving in nearly identical ways.

"Just dance, gonna be OK
Da-da-doo-doo just dance spin that record babe
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, gonna be OK
Duh-duh-duh dance, dance, dance, just dance."

Toris was searching everywhere for Feliks, he wanted him to meet his cousin and he couldn't find him anywhere.

"Wish I could shut my playboy mouth
How'd I turn my shirt inside out? Inside out right
Control your poison babe
Roses have thorns they say
And we're all getting hosed tonight
What's going on out on the floor?
I love this record baby, but I can't see straight anymore.
Keep it cool what's the name of this club?
I can't remember but it's alright, alright."

Feliks couldn't believe his luck; he had spotted her across the room, that beautiful pink haired girl. Her fashion sense was incredible and then there were those eyes…those stunning eyes…

"Just dance, gonna be OK
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, spin that record babe
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, gonna be OK
Duh-duh-duh dance, dance, dance, just dance"

Where the HELL had Salacia run off to? KJ asked himself. He had gone off to dance for a moment and she said to meet at the bar, but when he got there…no Sal. Dammit.

"When I come through that dance floor checkin' out that catalog
Can't believe my eyes so many women without a flaw
And I ain't gonna give it up, steady tryin' to pick it up like the car
I'm a hit it, I'm a hit it and flex until the 'till done until tomorrow yeah"

Salacia and Delta danced wildly and perfectly together, dancing close and happily with joyful smiles on their faces and eyes shut in bliss.

"Shawty I can see that you got so much energy
The way you twirlin' up them hips round and round
There's no reason, I know why you can't leave here with me
In the meantime stand, let me watch you break it down and dance"

Salacia smiled at the girl in front of her as their bodies moved nearer as they danced. They were nearly grinding against one another but there was not full contact. She couldn't believe how close they were getting.

"Gonna be okay, da-da-doo-doo
Just dance, spin that record
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, gonna be OK
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, spin that record babe
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, gonna be OK
Duh-duh-duh dance, dance, dance, just dance"

Feliks opened his eyes and saw silver shining in her eyes as he danced closer to her. She was truly beautiful, but how would she react at finding out that he was a guy, that Delta was his drag name? Would she accept it?

"Half psychotic sick hypnotic
Got my blueprint it's symphonic
Half psychotic sick hypnotic
Got my blueprint electronic
Half psychotic sick hypnotic
Got my blueprint it's symphonic
Half psychotic sick hypnotic
Got my blueprint electronic"

Toris finally spotted Feliks and stopped moving. Only to have KJ run into him.

"Sorry Toris, what's up?" he asked.

"I finally found my friend." He said laughing slightly.

"Where?" KJ asked not seeing any one close to the two of them.

"Dancing with your pal and my cousin." He said pointing to the couple at the center of the floor.

"Oh my." KJ giggled looking at the two of them.

"Go, use your muscle carve it out work it, hustle
(I got it, just stay close enough to get it)
Don't slow, drive it, clean it, Lysol, bleed it
Spend the last dough (I got it) on your pocko (I got it)"

Salacia reached up and pulled the bad from her hair and let it fall loose as she and Delta danced together.

Feliks felt his heart race as he saw her hair flowing around her as the strobe lights hit her. She was perfect.

"Just dance, gonna be OK
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, spin that record babe
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, gonna be OK
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, spin that record babe
Da-da-doo-doo just dance, gonna be OK
Duh-duh-duh dance, dance, dance, just dance"

As the song ended Salacia just gave in and before she could stop herself leaned in and kissed Delta. Whose eyes widened before pulling away. She had mentioned that she was bisexual, but he wanted her to know that he was a guy and not a girl.

"Listen Sal, there's something you need to know." He said.

"Oh, you're straight, sorry, I get it…" Salacia said embarrassed.

"No, well yeah…but…I'm a guy." He said.

Salacia's eyes widened, this was just perfect in a way. Feliks took her shocked look as a bad sign and went to walk away only to be pulled back into her lips again. He soon just gave in and kissed her back pulling her tightly against him.

"I wanted you two to get along, but I had no idea just how well you would." Came Toris's laughing voice behind them.

They broke apart in shock and looked at each other then back at Toris who had a giggling KJ behind him. Both slightly confused.

"Sal, this is my friend Feliks and Feliks this is my cousin Salacia." He introduced the two of them, "Thought you two should be appropriately introduced since you
two were just sucking face."

Both of them blushed and giggled and gripped their hands together in an innocent way.  As Toris and KJ walked away laughing.

"What's the surname for your femme alter ego?" Salacia asked laughing as they went back to the bar.

"Dawn." He said, "It's fully Delta Dawn."

"Love it." She said giggling.

"I think…that…" Feliks began then got a bit flustered before just saying, "Kocham cię."

"Does that mean what I think it does?" she asked him.

He nodded and she kissed him again and said, "I love you too."
So yeah, it's not my fave that I've done, but i love it none the less. :)

So KJ is in this as he is in life, i love that guy/girl.
